Once we receive the candidates completed expression of interest via this link, our team will review their application and supporting evidence.
All documents provided must be in English. Non-English documents must be provided with an accompanying translation from a registered translation service.
If the candidates application is accepted and no further evidence is required, an acceptance letter will be sent via email outlining the steps on how to make payment for Stage 1 Documentary Assessment.
This payment will be paid directly to Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) through the TRA Online Portal, an assessment payment identifier code for stage 1 will be provided in the email.
Documentary evidence must contain the following:
The candidate must provide evidence to show they have been employed in their occupation for at least 5 years including at least 12 months (full time) currency within the last 3 years.
If the candidate is applying for a Pathway 2 assessment, you must provide an accepted Australian qualification (including a Statement of Results). The candidate must also provide evidence to show they have been employed in their occupation for at least 3 years including at least 12 months (full time) currency within the last 3 years.
*Contact details provided on employer statements must be correct as we will contact referees to verify the reference is genuine.
The candidate must provide at least 2 forms of the following pay evidence for each year of the claimed employment;
The candidate must provide at least 12 months currency within the last 3 years of the claimed employment;
If the documentary evidence satisfies the criteria and we have verified the candidates competency skills and time in the trade with your Referees, they will proceed to uploading video and photo evidence.
Technical Assessment evidence: Photographic or video evidence must be provided and uploaded into the student portal, this ensures the candidate conducting work tasks using appropriate tools and/or machinery in personal protective equipment (PPE).
The candidate will be required to undertake a technical interview at one of our Skills Assessment approved locations with our Trade Assessors to determine if their skills and knowledge meet the qualification requirements.
A progress to Technical Interview email will be sent outlining the steps on how to make payment for their Stage 2 Technical Interview.
This payment will be paid directly to Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) through the TRA Online Portal, an assessment payment identifier code for stage 2 will be provided in the email.
The Online Technical Interview Terms and Conditions must be completed prior to the technical interview being scheduled.
Once a full Assessors report has been submitted and the Compliance Panel has reviewed the relevant evidence then a decision will be made on the outcome of the assessment.
The outcome can be either Successful or Unsuccessful.
Pathway 1 – If successful, Australian Construction Training Services (ACTS) will issue a full AQFIII Qualification for the trade and a successful outcome letter.
Pathway 2 – If successful, Australian Construction Training Services (ACTS) will only issue a outcome letter as the candidate will already hold a AQFIII Qualification.
Should the outcome be unsuccessful, ACTS will provide a letter explaining the reason(s) for your unsuccessful outcome along with a list of identified competencies required to achieve the full AQFIII qualification.
