The OSAP program is for applicants who need a skills assessment as part of their skilled migration visa application to the Department of Home Affairs. The OSAP outcome shows if you have the skills and experience needed at the required level to work in Australia in your nominated occupation. We offer skills assessment against AQF: AUR30620, AUR31120, AUR32120, MSF30422, MEM30219, MEM31922, MEM31419.
- If the applicant does not have formal training, then they must provide evidence of at least 5 years full time paid employment in a directly related trade, including evidence of at least 12 months full time paid employment in the nominated trade in the last 3 years before the date of application.
- If the applicant does have formal training, then they must provide evidence of at least 3 years full time paid employment in a directly related trade, including evidence of at least 12 months full time paid employment in the nominated trade in the last 3 years before the date of application.
Pathway 1 applicants will be required to complete a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) to help identify if you have the relevant skills that meet the Australian standards in your trade. You will need to be competent in all the mandatory units and many of the elective units.
Documentary evidence for eligibility:
Evidence of at least 5 years full time paid employment in a directly related trade, including evidence of at least 12 months full time paid employment in the nominated trade in the last 3 years before the date of application.
- Copies of your formal training qualifications (if applicable)
- Colour copy of photo identification (passport required) • Colour copies of licenses/permits (if applicable)
- Colour copies of employer statements
- Two forms of pay evidence for each year claimed; 3 pay slips per year, Superannuation statements, bank deposits referenced to employer
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Current Resume/work history
Once documentary assessment has been completed, the application will progress to the next stage:
- Written knowledge test
- Video evidence demonstrating selected work tasks using appropriate tools and/or machinery in personal protective equipment (PPE). These can be simulated.
- Technical Interview
Note- all Technical Interviews are conducted in English with no external assistance.
